We’re Hiring – Senior Digital Marketing Associate

Young Marketing Consulting is looking for someone who eats, sleeps and breathes digital marketing to deliver results for our clients’ SEM/PPC, SEO, and social media campaigns. This position is ideal for a motivated, detail-oriented individual who enjoys a fast pace, significant autonomy, and the opportunity to contribute to client strategy and internal process at a growing entrepreneurial firm.

Duties, Responsibilities and Requirements

The Senior Digital Marketing Associate’s primary duties will fall into the following areas:

  • SEM/PPC Advertising
    • Develop, test and manage SEM/PPC campaigns to achieve client conversion goals
    • Manage keyword, bid, and audience strategies
    • Write ad copy and provide guidance for visuals
    • Set up and monitor campaign conversion tracking
    • Report on campaign performance to clients, making any campaign adjustments required
    • Build and revise campaign strategy for new and existing clients
  • Social Media
    • Create and maintain content calendars to support client campaigns
    • Identify target influencers and conduct influencer outreach
    • Draft and post social media content across client platforms (Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, Pinterest, Snapchat, etc.)
    • Review social media analytics to improve post engagement and follower growth
    • Monitor and respond to conversations and engagement opportunities among client customers and target influencers
  • Search Engine Optimization
    • Analyze keyword performance and search positioning using tools such as Google Analytics and Search Console
    • Evaluate web traffic trends and inbound conversion rates
    • Assess site architecture and provide recommendations to improve search positioning
    • Provide recommendations for site design/architecture improvements
    • Develop and execute content and link-building campaigns to improve search position
  • Content Marketing and Writing
    • Develop content to assist with inbound lead generation, social media, and SEO strategies (social posts, blogs, white papers, etc.)
    • Create, review and revise copy for client web and landing pages
    • Write copy and provide creative direction for print brochure and collateral copy
    • Provide other copywriting and editing support as required
  • Campaign Performance Measurement
    • Set up campaign goal, event and conversion tracking using Google Analytics, AdWords, and other tools
    • Evaluate campaign performance across involved platforms
    • Provide regular effectiveness reports to clients and internal team members

In addition, the Marketing Associate will be responsible for the following:

  • Ensuring all assigned client deadlines are met
  • Proactively monitoring initiative progress against client goals
  • Researching best practices and new developments in the Associate’s assigned areas of responsibility
  • Participating in client meetings and phone calls, taking notes and keeping track of to-dos for execution
  • Proposing and implementing improvements to client campaigns and YMC processes where needed
  • Maintaining and updating YMC’s client project tracking portal, ensuring that all billable time is tracked and reported appropriately
  • Assisting with YMC’s internal corporate sales and marketing activities where required


  • 2-3 years of experience in marketing, communications, or a similar field at a marketing agency or internal marketing department
  • Experience with Google Analytics, AdWords and Search Console (Google AdWords/Analytics Certification is preferable)
  • Experience creating and executing Social Media campaigns (Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, Instagram, Pinterest, etc.)
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, liberal arts or related field
  • Strong written communication and grammar skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • A dedication to customer service
  • The ability to maintain a high level of organization and deliver on deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • A proactive, self-motivated mindset
  • A focus on deadlines and project execution
  • Comfort with data analysis and list management (e.g. segmenting audiences in a CRM system or identifying duplicate records in Excel)
  • The ability to use data and analytics to inform your creativity (e.g. writing copy based on keyword search volume)

Preferred Skills

Familiarity with the areas below will be considered a plus but not required. The selected candidate will receive training in these areas where necessary.

  • Email software (MailChimp, Constant Contact, etc.)
  • Content Management Systems (WordPress, Drupal, etc.)
  • CRM and Marketing Automation Suites (e.g. HubSpot, ActOn, Pardot, Salesforce, Zoho, etc.)

Term and Compensation

This position is a full-time, salaried position. Compensation will be commensurate with the selected candidate’s experience.
